Can You Pronounce The Ingredients On The Label of Your Skin Care Products?
July 22nd, 2010When you are purchasing skin care products, for you or your family (and especially kids), you need to be very careful what you buy. There are many skin care products out there masking themselves as organic when they are not. The labeling for organic skin care products can be confusing. There are two simple rules to remember. First, can you pronounce what is in your “organic” skin care product? If you can not, then it is not organic. Organic products have to have ingredients that are easily recognized as plant products, and not synthetic or artificial. This means that they are going to be easily recognized as coming from a plant source, and not some chemical that you can’t just roll off your tongue. Second, it should have the label, “usda certified organic” on it. If it does, that means that it is at least 95% all natural products that are organic in nature, and that the other 5% are coming from recognized natural sources. Remember, your skin is the largest organ your body has. The impact you have on it by using or not using organic skin care products is going to be huge. Don’t make the wrong decision on the basis of a few dollars, when you know that you are going to be paying big time down the road for not using what you know is best. Buy only certified organic skin care products, always.
